Forever a creative, Nadj’s passion for hair started long before realizing it. Growing up in South Florida, their hair journey began by helping their mom with at home coloring, to exploring and coloring their own hair with vivid colors, then later finding a passion for learning their natural texture even after relocating to Colorado in 2017. In 2022, after deciding to reclaim their soul from the retail industry, Nadj went from studying music to studying cosmetology at the Aveda Institute - Denver. Through their own self-expression journey and training, Nadj fell in love with expressing one’s self through everything hair, and helping others find that same unapologetic authenticity.After graduating, Nadj worked in Denver, Colorado at a high-end barbershop, and in 2024, returned to back to school to pursue their barbering license. The past two years, Nadj has worked behind the chair and focused on classes for cutting curly hair, vivid and corrective color, and razor cutting. Honing their skills while giving back to the community.

In December of 2025, Nadj moved back to Florida to be closer to family. In the search for a new salon home that’s inclusive, focused on hair health, and services the LGBTQ+ community, they found æffect hair. Through hands on education with the æffect hair team, Nadj is ready to begin an unexpected journey building a community and clientele, while incorporating sustainability practices in their work.
